Collection: GORGON MEDUSA| SPHINXY
Inspired by the snake-haired Gorgon Medusa of Greek mythology, this series is SPHINXY's meditation on beauty that is also dangerous — the magnetic tension of something that coils and presses at the same time. Visually, the work leans into icy, sculptural forms in heavy, saturated colors, the way temptation can hide inside a cold piece of stone or metal. The imagery of entwined snakes is recomposed into bold rings, hooks and chain-like silhouettes intended to sit close to the skin. Beneath the surface, the series carries a clear feminist stance: contemporary value should not be measured by gender; a woman's worth stands on its own and owes nothing to people or to worldly convention. SPHINXY puts it plainly — "there are no short skirts long enough in this world," and the wish is for every girl to enjoy aesthetic freedom that no one can dictate.
