DESCRIPTION
Sphinxy carries the pankou language into translucent resin, where the traditional knot becomes a sculpted, weightless silhouette on the body. The Carved Knot Bangle wraps a sculpted pankou motif around the wrist in a single fluid gesture.
Its translucent body catches ambient light, letting the carved lines read as delicate shadows within the material rather than as applied decoration.

Founded in 2020 by designer Xu Yue — a graduate of Metal Art at Tsinghua University and Jewelry & Metalwork at the Royal College of Art — SPHINXY takes its name from the Sphinx of Greek mythology: a symbol of riddles and the unknown.
The brand explores the language of sculpture as it lives on the human body. Drawing inspiration from the imagined relics of humankind, each piece is conceived as a small wearable sculpture — where narrative and ornament become inseparable.
